Original Deadly Viper actor Vivica A. Fox shares her thoughts on why Kill Bill Vol. 3 remains Quentin Tarantino fans' most-requested movie to date.
With nearly two decades gone since the last movie, Vivica A. Fox shares why Kill Bill Vol. 3 remains Quentin Tarantino fans' most-requested movie. The first two movies centered on Uma Thurman's initially unnamed protagonist, later revealed to be Beatrix Kiddo, embarking on a quest for vengeance against the eponymous hitman and his assassination squad, her former squadmates, for attempting to kill her, her fiancé and unborn child.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT During a recent interview with CBR for the crime show The Interrogation Room, Vivica A. Fox opened up about the frequent calls for a Kill Bill Vol. 3 from Tarantino fans.
I think the main draw is that people love Tarantino's work. He's always got this weird quirkiness that surprises you, that intrigues you, [and] that makes you want more. Like, I did a video for SZA. It was the remake of Kill Bill. Man, we went viral. I mean, like 70 million views. Then everybody ran with it. "SZA's gonna play your daughter in Kill Bill 3. It's finally coming!" I was like, "No, it's just a song, and she loves Kill Bill.
Why Kill Bill Vol. 3 Will Likely Never Happen Though Fox has previously called on the director to make the threequel, and it remains one of his most-requested projects, the unfortunate truth for Tarantino fans is that Kill Bill Vol. 3 is unlikely to ever happen.
The other major hurdle facing a potential Kill Bill Vol. 3 is Tarantino's open desire to retire from filmmaking after his tenth movie, which he recently revealed to be a project entitled The Movie Critic. Aside from his early Hollywood days of selling the option rights to some of his screenplays, such as True Romance, Tarantino has remained pretty dedicated to telling his stories his own way, making it unlikely he would hand the reins off for a new Kill Bill to someone else.
