An activist said the school district needs to do more following the deaths of three students from fentanyl-laced pills.
District officials showed attendees a presentation given to secondary school students about the dangers of fentanyl, a synthetic opioid more powerful than heroin and morphine. Three students have died and six others have been hospitalized in recent months because of the illicit drug, according to a federal complaint against the alleged dealers unsealed earlier this month.
