Denmark and Sweden have opened up for tourism to travelers from many countries, but Norway retains a more cautious approach especially to non-European travelers.
Arrivals from other EU/EEA/Schengen countries that do not have a digital coronavirus certificate must serve a quarantine period in suitable accommodation. The ban on non-essential travel to Sweden from outside the EU remains in place and has been extended until October 31. However, there are now several exemptions to this ban including those with close family connections and critical workers. Residents of certain countries are also exempt from the ban, but must present a negative test result taken no longer than 48 hours prior to arrival. At the present time, the list includes Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and the U.S. but it does not include the U.K.from this list and U.S. residents will no longer get an exception. However, Swedish authorities are looking at the possibility of allowing fully-vaccinated U.S. residents to visit Sweden in the near future.
