Robert Whittaker will be looking to rebound from last October’s stunning loss to Israel Adesanya that cost him the undisputed UFC middleweight crown when he battles Darren Till at UFC on ESPN 14 on SaturdayWhittaker suffered a second-round KO on punches loss to Adesanya to snap a nine-fight win streak and drop his professional MMA record to 20-4 going into Saturday night’s bout against Till at UFC Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.
While Whittaker is known for his ability to go the distance, he has also demonstrated an ability to finish opponents. The former Australian national wrestling champion claimed TKO wins in four of his most recent victories, and gained a reputation as a submission specialist early in his career, forcing opponents to tap out in five of his first seven pro fights.
