The B.C. restaurant chain will also be offering free samples of the new plant-based patty from its food truck on Monday, April 15.
White Spot, the B.C. restaurant chain known primarily for its meaty burgers, is joining the meatless burger craze.
And for those that prefer their meals like 90s kids preferred their haircuts — in a bowl — the Beyond Burger patty will also be featured in White Spot’s new Southwest Power Bowl, alongside fresh avocado, cherry tomatoes, radish, roasted corn and cabbage, quinoa and jasmine rice with greens, jalapeño ranch and edamame hummus.
Joining the meatless burger trend is a no-brainer for White Spot, especially after the success that Canadian fast food giant A&W had with its vegan Beyond Meat burgers, the franchise’s most successful new product launch ever. Last July, within weeks of introducing the meatless option to a surprisingly receptive public, the chain had sold out of the plant-based patties entirely. It wasn’t until October when A&W was able to offer the Beyond Meat burger again.
