Where to watch F1, NASCAR, IndyCar, and IMSA this weekend.
F1 is back at Silverstone, the track nearest to a significant majority of the F1 grid. That marks a great chance to introduce significant upgrades, one most teams have chosen to take after so many missed the mark with the new design earlier this year. That shook up the group behind the leaders, but a wet qualifying session still ended with a familiar Ferrari-Red Bull front row. What's not so familiar is the guy on pole.
Carlos Sainz Jr., who has had a disastrous first half of the season in the first winning car he's ever raced, started to turn his year around when he unsuccessfully fought Max Verstappen for a win late in Canada. His year gets even better today, beating out Verstappen by less than a tenth of a second to take his first career pole. Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez will complete the second row, while Lewis Hamilton's upgraded Mercedes remains a second off the leaders in fifth.
