The Warriors center suffered what appeared to be a torn quad during his team's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night.
DeMarcus Cousins could be out for the remainder of the season after suffering a serious leg injury on Monday night.
Speaking after the game, Golden State coach Steve Kerr suggested the team feared Cousins had torn his left quad. "There's a pretty significant quad injury [...] he's going to be out for a while," he was quoted as saying by ESPN. The fifth overall pick of the 2010 draft has shown glimpses of his talent since returning from injury, averaging 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.
Down by 23 points at halftime, the Clippers found themselves trailing by 31 at one stage during the third quarter but rallied to shock the defending champions and stun fans at the Oracle Arena. “It worked out for us. But I thought it was our spirit more than anything. Just every single guy. I loved the end of the game."
