Starring Rosario Dawson as the live-action Ahsoka Tano, Ahsoka is a story that's been 15 years in the making. Anakin Skywalker's Padawan has transitioned from animation to live-action for an epic adventure in which she seeks out Lars Mikkelsen's Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Ahsoka spins out of The Mandalorian season 2 and The Book of Boba Fett, and it will run for eight episodes - with the first two episodes releasing on August 22. While episode lengths vary, the first two episodes of Ahsoka have impressive runtimes; they clock in at 54 minutes 21 seconds and 42 minutes 15 seconds respectively. Here's what time the Ahsoka premiere will drop on Disney+.
Ahsoka Release Time On Disney+ Ahsoka episodes 1 and 2 will release on Tuesday, August 22, at 6 pm PT / 9 pm ET / 2 am BST. Remaining episodes will release weekly, also on Tuesdays and at the same time. The finale will air on October 3.Why Ahsoka Releases At This Time In a surprise move, Lucasfilm changed Ahsoka's release date and time at the last minute.
Ahsoka is officially Star Wars Rebels season 5, although it must be noted the stars have insisted viewers won't need to have watched all previous episodes of Star Wars animation to understand the story. This presumably means episodes will serve to introduce viewers to all the other characters who are transitioning from animation to live-action alongside Ahsoka Tano, including Grand Admiral Thrawn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead's Hera Syndulla, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo's Sabine Wren.
