The Astros get a few days off before their sixth straight American League Championship...

Houston Astros starting pitcher Luis Garcia celebrates with his teammates after closing out the Seattle Mariners in a 1-0 win, in 18 innings, in Game 3 of the American League Division Series on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, in Seattle.Saturday night means they're headed to their sixth straight American League Championship Series.

Finishing off the Mariners in three games means the Astros will have three days off before opening the ALCS on Wednesday at Minute Maid Park. They'll await the winner of the Yankees-Guardians series, which the Guardians lead 2-1 after a walkoff win over the Yankees on Saturday night. That series resumes at 6:07 p.m. Sunday in Cleveland. If a fifth game is necessary, it will be at 6:07 p.m. Monday in New York.

Regardless of who wins, the Astros will have home-field advantages with Games 1 and 2 on Wednesday and Thursday. The next three games will be on the road — at Cleveland or New York — on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. If the series continues, it will be back in Houston for Games 6 and 7 on Tuesday, Oct. 25 and Wednesday, Oct. 26.

The World Series begins Friday, Oct. 28. If they make it that far, the Astros would have home-field advantage against every team except the Dodgers.
