“As you assess the evidence in this trial I would ask that you keep one question in mind above all else, which is this: Why are you here? What are you being asked to decide? You’re being asked to decide a very simple question,” said Heard’s lawyer, Ben Rottenburn.
Chew wanted the jury to focus on three statements made by Heard in particular, in which she references “domestic abuse” and “sexual violence” that she faced. She also said “two years ago” she became a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” Chew pointed out that the “timing here is critical.”Article content
“He started coping with Ms. Heard the same way he did as a child.
