The girls have left a void that nothing in the world could ever fill,” aTwo Cox Elementary students, fourth-grader Daniela Mendoza and second-grader Sofia Mendoza, were killed in the Allen mall mass shooting. Their mother, Ilda, was critically injured.Irvin Walker II was shot twice — once in the chest, near his heart, and once in his right shoulder. Two days later, he came out of surgery singing, his family said.
The Louisiana native was in his car looking for a parking spot Saturday when the gunman began firing. Walker was one of the first people shot.to help with medical expenses. Walker is a father of one daughter and member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. “Thankfully and by the grace of GOD — he is in stable condition and expected to survive,” the family wrote.
