Take it slow and easy on those slick roads tonight and Wednesday morning.

multiple rounds of rain and storms, and locally heavy rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible east of U.S. 281. The biggest threat from severe weather is forecast for east of Interstate 35, where NWS is predicting strong, gusty winds and the potential for a tornado.

However, San Antonio and Bexar County likely won't see more than heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, said Brandon Gail, a meteorologist with NWS. “The front will be moving from west to east, so there’s pretty good coverage for showers and storms for all of South Central Texas,” Gail said. A slight chance of showers is expected in San Antonio between 9 a.m. and noon. The chances of showers and storms tick upward after noon and increase as the cold front moves in overnight.

On Tuesday evening, expect showers and thunderstorms with a low around 50. A quarter- to a half-inch of rain is possible.
