As people are feeling safe enough to venture out into the world, here's a list of what's on offer in Prince George these days.Country Night with Chris Goodwin at Trench Brewing & Distilling Friday at 8 p.m. No cover, tips welcomed. Recording artist Chris Goodwin is a Prince George born and raised singer/songwriter. He has been performing country originals and covers around Prince George for the last six years.
Joined by the Brush exhibit is at the Groop Gallery Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Prince George and includes works by a newly formed group of 13 regional artists at Groop Gallery, 1127 Third Ave. Groop Gallery will be open Saturdays in March and feature an artist-in-residence from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and live music.
The Boots and the Hoots at the Prince George Legion April 8 at 9 p.m. featuring genuine country music with Big Fancey and the Shiddy Cowboys presented by Mad Loon and Boots Graham. Tickets are $20 at the door or $15 in advance at Madloon tickets. Second annual Big Air Competition at the Hart Ski Hill takes place March 25 at 9 a.m. Registration starts at 9 a.m., riders meeting at 10 a.m., practice starts at 10:15 a.m. Competition starts at 11 a.m. Categories are six to 12 years, 13 to 18 years, 19 + and ladies open, ski and snow board. Hawksley Workman live in Artspace, above Books & Co., 1685 Third Ave., Friday, March 31, show starts at 7:30 p.m. Hawksley Workman is a Juno award-winning and gold record certified singer-songwriter and multi instrumentalist. 17 solo records and counting, Workman’s musical genre spans from folk, chart pop and irrepressible cabaret. Tickets are $45+ gst. Tickets available in store at Books & Co., or by phone 250-563-6637.
Spring Fling Fundraiser for Northern BC Queer Connection is set for Saturday, April 1 at 9 p.m. at Ignite Night Club, 1232 3rd Ave and presented by DJ and electronic music producer Riki Rocket, an Indigiqueer artist. Riki is often spinning at highly celebrated 2SLGBTQIA+ parties. With shows on four continents in addition to five years of club residencies in the UK, her trademark sounds have captivated dance floors all over the world.
