Ohio State receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, if available, makes a lot of sense but edge...
AJ Mast/APBut which position would get more value at No. 12? And who would draft experts take if they were the Texans?
“Maybe the answer is you can move back and get one of the edge rushers at a better value and pick up an additional pick or two, that would be the good route to go in both cases,” McShay said. “I think the wide receiver class and the edge class, you get quality value later in the first than you do in that 10-17 range.”
But two draft experts, who spoke to the Chronicle say if Smith-Njigba is on the board by the time they pick at No. 12, they’d take him. “You can pick wide receiver 1 at 12 or edge rusher 3,” Wilson said. “If you’re taking Bryce at 2, I’m taking Jaxon Smith-Njigba and not thinking about it. I think he might have 70 catches next year if he’s healthy.”

Texans wear blue for child abuse awareness - KRLD NewsA lot of Texans are wearing blue Friday to raise awareness about child abuse. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services urged people to wear blue Friday. The CDC estimates one in seven kids is abused or neglected. The agency said the number is likely higher because many cases are not reported. 'It is a very prevalent problem. Just increasing awareness in the community is important so we can have more protection for kiddos,' said Nicholas La Mere, the therapy, trainee and intern coordinator at Dallas Children's Advocacy Center. The organization coordinates services to investigate and prosecute cases of physical and sexual abuse while also providing healing services for victims. Photo credits: Hannah Peters/Getty Images
