Princess Catherine says she manipulated this photo that was taken of her with her three children.
Writer Charlie Warzel explains the Kate Middleton photoshop fiasco and what it says about the information hellscape we’re living in Inconsistencies pointed out by experts that are highlighted include daughter Charlotte's hair falling unnaturally on her left shoulder, the top of her skirt jutting out past her sweater and a missing part of her left sleeve, as well as Catherine's jacket zipper appearing to split.
But a series of editing errors in the photo has created even more speculation. Eagle-eyed Instagram users noticed wonky shadows, blurry hands, a random zipper in Kate's hair and the sleeve of her daughter's sweater disappearing into her skirt. The second is that we're in this era of synthetic media that is just beginning to get really good. We've had things like Photoshop before. It's been around for 30 years.
