New York City real-estate broker Doug Harmon has sold his share of trophy properties. He sold Manhattan’s General Motors Building and the Helmsley Building, the Willis Tower in Chicago, and San Francisco’s Bank of America Center. Some he has sold twice.
One thing he has never sold: a sprawling plot of vacant land overlooking the Los Angeles basin, which happens to be one of the most valuable pieces of grass and dirt anywhere in the world.
