It’s a case where if Elon Musk doesn’t agree with some level of censorship, it creates a neo-liberalist space. People will think they’re able to just say anything, but there needs to be a filter.”
27-year-old journalist Yolanthe, has been a Twitter user for 11 years, and worries about what Musk’s idea of free speech could actually look like on social media. “I think freedom of expression is an important right that still needs some level of legal protection, but will people who have been removed from Twitter be back?” she questions.
Rogan, a 25-year-old who works in Marketing and has been on Twitter for the last 13 years, echoes these views and thinks Musk is a “professional troll.”
