TRURO, N.S. — As hurricane Lee makes landfall in Nova Scotia on Saturday afternoon, many are left wondering how the storm will affect their neck of the woods.

For Colchester County, that could mean sustained winds between 30-50 km/h with gusts between 60-90 km/h.While Lee will miss crossing over Colchester, it will graze by just enough to cause high winds throughout Saturday afternoon before dying down Sunday evening.Rainfall can be expected to begin Friday night and last through Monday, with most of Colchester receiving anywhere between 25-50 mm of rain.

Peak winds for hurricane Lee, as of Sept. 15, are expected to be along Nova Scotia's south/southeast shore and parts of southern New Brunswick.
