As for packaging fee revenue sharing, Goodman noted that the agencies had upped their offer from 1% to 2%. He said that the guild leadership wrestled with the question whether they should engage in negotiation. He reiterated the guild’s manta that “any offer from agencies must realign agencies’ interests with writers'” and insisted that only returning to “commission-based compensation” would accomplish that.
