Western Springs Rotary Club's Steak Fry drew 180 attendees, including currently serving first responders and about 50 Veterans who served as long ago as the Second World War.

Held at the Western Springs Baptist Church, the lunch drew a roomful of 180 attendees, including currently serving first responders and about 50 veterans who served as long ago as the Second World War.“My family felt it was important to commit to the community,” he said. “The lunch was previously conducted by another group from Countryside, and when the club was disbanded in 1999, we took it over.
Other Rotary members present were Treasurer Robby Bartholomai, Rotary Foundation Chair Jason Doberzinksi, and past president Robert Nyberg, who led a prayer before lunch was served. Plymouth Place Senior Living, Edward Jones, and Thor and Lori Thordarson were Premier Sponsors of the luncheon.
