ARGENTIA, N.L. — Mike Rudofsky, director of the concrete gravity structure, heralds the West White Rose project as a beacon of hope, and, with the project nearing completion, says it will extend the White Rose field's life by 14 years.

Once completed, the concrete gravity structure will be situated in the Jeanne d’Arc Basin, about 350 kilometres off the coast of Newfoundland. The White Rose field is in water approximately 120 metres deep. When completed, the CGS will stand a towering 145 metres high. It's set to weigh 200,000 tons once floated.

"We're not only building a solid foundation but also a top structure that's integral to offshore operations," he said.2023 Milestones
