Police have received at least four complaints from people who paid for Taylor Swift concert tickets but never received them
Bogus Taylor Swift concert tickets are being “sold” via Facebook community groups and Marketplace, say West Shore RCMP.
Police have received at least four complaints from people who were contacted by someone claiming to have Taylor Swift concert tickets for sale.Swift is set to play B.C. Place in Vancouver on Dec. 6, 7 and 8. Tickets were swiftly snapped up when they went on sale in November. Access was only granted via a link and code sent to presale lottery winners, with tickets sold on a first-come-first-served basis.
Police said there is always a risk to purchasing items like popular concert tickets from private sources online, and it’s better to buy tickets only from verified sources. Anyone else who has been a victim of the scam or has information about it is asked to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
