West Shore RCMP officers seized a substantial amount of illegal drugs and cash during a series of raids in Langford on January 28th, 2020. The operation began with a traffic stop that led to the discovery of drugs and paraphernalia in a pickup truck. A subsequent search of a residence associated with one of the suspects yielded even larger quantities of illegal substances.

West Shore RCMP officers conducted a series of raids on January 28th, 2020, leading to the seizure of a significant amount of illegal drugs and cash. The operation began with the Bike Unit stopping a pickup truck in Langford . During the traffic stop, a small baggie of suspected fentanyl fell from the passenger, prompting a search of the vehicle.

Officers discovered drug paraphernalia inside the truck, along with over $2,000 in cash and a variety of illicit substances including approximately 32 grams of suspected fentanyl, 100 milliliters of liquid suspected to be Gamma Hydroxybutyrate (GHB), 10 grams of suspected meth, and 29 grams of suspected cocaine.The evidence found in the truck prompted police to obtain a search warrant for the residence of one of the suspects. The subsequent search of the Langford home yielded even more illicit substances and paraphernalia. Among the items seized were approximately 31 grams of suspected fentanyl, 1.5 liters of suspected GHB, 39 grams of suspected meth, numerous prescription bottles believed to be stolen, 600 pills of suspected dilaudid prescription medication, and 21 grams of psilocybin.Two men, a 39-year-old and a 42-year-old, were taken into custody during the initial traffic stop. The investigation is ongoing, and West Shore RCMP has not released any further details at this time.
