West Shore RCMP seeks public's help after gunshots in Colwood

Officers and police dogs immediately responded and conducted a neighbourhood search.A firearm was recovered but the suspect got away.

Police received reports that a grey, newer model Toyota Tacoma truck drove from Terrahue Road to Metchosin Road, and then onto Lagoon Road at the time of incident, and believe the occupant or occupants inside the truck may be involved.West Shore RCMP are still investigating the incident.Sign up for the CHEK Now daily email newsletter to get breaking news and the day's top stories sent to your email.

Police are also requesting homeowners in the area to check surveillance or dashcam video that may have captured the truck or any other suspicious activity on July 13 between the hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. If you recognize this vehicle, or have information that could help police, please call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
