Peter Shea was visiting Gambo Pond at Lake Point, N.L., and couldn’t help but notice this smoky sunset adding an eerie glow to the sky. Peter said there are some forest fires burning on the Bay d’Espoir Peninsula and suspects that to be the source of the smoky haze in the sky. He says water-bomber crews from Quebec are currently assisting with fighting the fires.
