Tim Gallant took an early morning walk at the North Rustico lighthouse harbour in P.E.I. when he was greeted by this peachy sunrise. He wonders how the skies get so colourful in the morning. This is due to a phenomenon called scattering. The lower the sun in the horizon, the further sunlight travels through air particles, resulting in the mostly red, orange and yellow-tinged skies that sunrises and sunsets are known for.
