“We’re disgusted,” said Tara Williams, also Turnbull’s sister — he was adopted into a family of seven and treasured as the youngest sibling with a big, wide grin and a desire to protect others from bullies. “They basically forgot about us that we were there waiting for the entire day,” Williams said. “We logged in like for the entire day ..; We waited for this ... We looked at a black screen for eight hours. They just forgot that we were there wanting to see and they went ahead with without considering the fact that there was an entire family on the East Coast that would have liked to witness it.”
A couple years before he was stabbed to death in Edmonton, Jordan Turnbull, who grew up in Glace Bay, put together this vision board while in treatment. He aimed to be an entrepreneur and beat his addictions and acknowledged his"lost boy" troubles on the collage. "He had a very deep laceration from wrist to elbow through his tattoos and was stabbed in the heart. The arm wound was a defensive wound," White said.Williams flew up and the sisters went to Alex Taylor Road where Turnbull was stabbed and created a memorial. Turnbull wasn't living at the camp, they say but was visiting a friend he hadn’t seen in a long while.
