'Every time there's a crisis on the island of Puerto Rico or Cuba, we are always present,' Javier Ferrer, a native Puerto Rican living in Houston, said.
"There's a lot of people on the entire island who don't have electricity or water," Ferrer said. "There's a lot of flooding everywhere."He said festival organizers are ready to help and send supplies back home if they're needed.
"Every time there's a crisis on the island of Puerto Rico or Cuba, we are always present," Ferrer said. "We are there for Puerto Rico.", and members of Houston's business community banded together to get supplies to Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.
