Dahlkemper to play in Friday's UKG Challenge Cup match against the OL Reign in Seattle; Sheridan remains at Women's World Cup, where she's playing for Canada
The San Diego Wave have activated one of women’s soccer most recognizable players and extended the contract of their star goalkeeper.
Dahlkemper’s activation was one of two moves announced Thursday morning; the Wave have also signed goalie Kailen Sheriden to a contract extension through 2026.Sheridan, the 2022 NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year, is currently playing for Canada in the Women’s World Cup. Through 13 matches with the Wave this season, she has five clean sheets.
Wave General Manager Molly Downtain called the 28-year-old Sheridan “a true leader on and off the field.”
