The Waterloo Region Catholic District School Board trustees accepted the resignation of Kitchener-Wilmot trustee Julie Molenaar on Monday night.
A pride flag flew in front of the Waterloo Catholic District School Board offices for the first time on Tuesday,.
She had been on the job for a few months, after being drafted in back in June to replace Wendy Ashby, who stepped down after a number of controversial tweets surfaced. This is the second time in just over a month that the board has had to call in a replacement as Waterloo- Wellesley-Woolwich trustee Sally Fuentes submitted her resignation in September, stepping away from the role due to personal reasons.
