The failure will have only a small impact – the splash was slated to close for the summer season in just a few days, on Sept. 17. Other city splash pads at County Park and the Northwood Playfield will remain open until Sept. 17, while the Franklin Street Park and North End Park splash pads are already closed for the season.Repairs to the filter pump are expected to take about three weeks. The Water Garden Pavilion at the waterfront will remain open until mid-October, meanwhile, operating daily from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
