Hedi Slimane's shares the 10 films that have inspired him over the years, all available to stream on Mubi.
creative director Hedi Slimane is quite the music aficionado, having discovered countless bands and put singers, guitarists, drummers, and their muses on his runways. But at home, where Slimane is living amid France’s COVID-19 lockdown, he’s also a cinema buff. “Watching classic movies helps me tremendously during these uncertain days of endless quarantine,” he says.
This week, the designer has curated 10 favorite films available to stream on Mubi, the art-house streaming service. “I was wondering what I could possibly share, what could be reassuring, what could serve as a comforting escapist gift. Mubi, with its culture and fine selection of cult movies, was the perfect template for this improvised project,” he continues.
