Waters said: 'Please don’t instruct me on how I’m supposed to conduct this committee.'
There was a tense exchange between Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and California Rep. Maxine Waters over whether Mnuchin could leave a committee hearing for another engagement on Tuesday.

The passive aggression was visible on both sides, with Waters insisting that Mnuchin had “made an offer” to stay, and Mnuchin suggesting that she was “ordering for me to stay here.” Waters took particular exception to this remark, replying: “Please don’t instruct me on how I’m supposed to conduct this committee.”
