The race occurred March 11, south of Montreal, and was part of the annual Kahnawake Ice Racing Series, held in the Mohawk community of Kahnawake, Quebec. The driver of the car recording the incident via dashcam was apparentlya YouTube video uploaded by a user named Pat Renaud shows a full eight-and-a-half minutes
of racing preceding the sinking. CTV reports Vincent Noel was the driver of the other car that fell through the ice. “We all know the risk we take as soon as we get on that ice, and everyone understands this sport we love comes with these types of risk,”
