WATCH: Former Boy Group Member And Girl Group Member Who Used To Be Labelmates Go Head-To-Head On 'TheKingOfMaskSinger'
On the March 26 episode of the MBC singing competition, four contestants advanced to the next round in their quest to challenge the reigning champion.
The first match-up of Round 2 was a battle between contestants “Disco Pang Pang” and “Flower Wagon.” Disco Pang Pang performed a heartfelt rendition of Buzz’s hit song “Thorn,” while Flower Wagon skillfully covered Toy’s famous ballad “Still Beautiful.”Although both contestants impressed the audience and panelists with their vocal abilities, Flower Wagon ultimately won the round.
Disco Pang Pang remained on stage to take off his mask and reveal his identity—and he turned out to be none other than NU’EST’s Ren. In the next round of the competition, Flower Wagon performed a soulful cover of Jung In’s emotional song “Rainy Season.” After Flower Wagon lost the round to her opponent, she took off her mask and revealed herself to be After School and Orange Caramel’s main vocalist Raina—who used to be labelmates with Ren under PLEDIS Entertainment.
