Runners were invited to maintain Kipchoge’s 2:01:39 marathon speed for 200 meters on the 20-foot-long treadmill, which is making stops at each of the World Marathon Majors races.. Of the runners who took a spill thatwitnessed, all were wearing khakis—though it could not be confirmed the pants played a factor.
