Tied into all of that, of course, is the fact the Senators are struggling in even-strength situations. As the Jets came to town, the Senators had scored only 68 goals at five-on-five. That’s 31st in the league, ahead of only the Chicago Blackhawks. They had allowed 101 goals in that situation, which ranks 24th.
