What a band it is. It’s like a super group. An all-star team.
And believe me, being at their rehearsal Friday, it had that vibe. Incredible. I can just about guarantee Frankie and Gord would be loving it from rock’n’ roll heaven.We apologize, but this video has failed to load.“It’s like I have Frankie on one shoulder and Gordie on the other,” said Dave “Rave” DesRoches, who started as the band’s singer, as well as playing guitar, in the beginning and always stepped in when Frankie was unable to do the job.
Pretty cool to see the band booked at the renovated Elmo — thanks to Michael Wekerle — where they played many times in the past.It’s good to see that gleam in his eye again and his sense of humour. Many of those Teenage Head fans involved in the mayhem at Ontario place are grandparents now. But these now mature, vintage teenagers can still rock and the songs of the Head have caught on with a new generation of music fans searching for raw songs without tracks and computers.
