Squamish hit nearly 30 C, while Pitt Meadows set a new record of 28 C for May 9. More record-breaking warm weather is expected Friday.

It’s only the start of May, but already B.C. has seen some record-breaking, summer-like temperatures.

The Sunshine Coast also saw record-breaking weather Thursday, with Gibsons recording 25.8 C up from 22.8 C in 1968 while Powell River hit 24.9 C up slightly from 24.4 set in 1949.
