Riley Ferrazzo opened the scoring for the Wanderers, finishing some slick passes from Ryan Telfer and Wesley Timoteo before scoring from close range in the 21st minute.Tiago Coimbra made it 2-0 in the 75th minute as he and Aidan Daniels slipped behind the Ottawa defence and Daniels fed a pass across the box to Coimbra who had an open net, giving the visiting side a surprising two-goal cushion.

Just when it seemed that Halifax was about to hang on for its first win, Alberto Zapater scored on a header in the box to tie the score in the 11th minute of stoppage time. Ottawa, which hasn’t lost a match to start the season, improved to 5-0-3.
