Halifax Regional Police are investigating the sudden death of a Walmart employee at a store in the city on Saturday night. The store is closed as police investigate and customers are being asked to avoid the area.

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a sudden death at a Walmart in the city on Saturday night. They have yet to release details about the circumstance of the death, but in a statement Sunday morning, Walmart indicated the person who died was an employee.

The store is closed and police are requesting people stay away from the area while they conduct the investigation. Multiple police cars remained on scene Sunday morning but, as of early afternoon, police had not provided further information.
