Both retailers will slash prices on some traditional Thanksgiving meal items starting on Nov. 1, 2023.

Updated: Nov. 01, 2023, 8:00 a.m.Aldi said that it will drop prices up to 50% on Nov. 1, 2023, for more than 70 "holiday classics." The price reduction will remain in effect through the end of the year. Two major retailers are dropping prices starting today on traditional Thanksgiving feast items.

On Nov. 1, Walmart said it is “again removing inflation to offer a traditional Thanksgiving meal on customers’ favorite brands at an even lower price than last year ...” “To meet customers’ needs, Walmart is offering two Thanksgiving meal options at an even lower price than last year, one with ingredients for customers who like to cook from scratch, and one for customers who like more convenient, ready-to-bake options.”“Saving money remains a top priority for our customers, and this holiday season, we’re building on the investments we made last year knowing they need it now more than ever,” said John Furner, president and CEO, Walmart U.S.

According to Aldi, the price savings equate to being able to have three more guests for holiday dinner “for the same price as a meal for 10 people featuring the most popular holiday dishes.”
