Walgreens shares on track for worst five-day decline in nearly five years
Shares of Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. WBA, -1.60% dropped 1.8% toward an 8-month low in morning trade Thursday, putting them in danger of extending their losing streak to 7 sessions. The stock has plunged 16.1% over the past 7 sessions, amid concerns over reimbursement and generic deflation headwinds and potential increased regulatory pressures after the FDA called out the company as being the top violator among pharmacies illegally selling tobacco products to minors.
