Volvo, owned by China’s automaker brand Geely, has developed the battery passport in collaboration with a UK startup.
Volvo Cars has said it is going to launch the world’s first electric vehicle battery passport. It is going to be the first time that a automaker has decided to issue a battery passport along with the vehicle.it will introduce the concept with its flagship EX90 SUV – which is going to begin production in the days ahead.
The Swedish automaker’s decision to introduce battery passports is therefore a step ahead from the other competitors. However, other brands are sure to follow suit in the days ahead.
