As always, the largest and rowdiest assemblies have been in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and have degenerated into mini-riots on several occasions.

Throughout the first wave, there was general consensus, even among Bibi-haters, that the government managed the public-health threat proactively, decisively and with good outcomes. People weren’t just fatigued, they had tuned out. And the fact that more than a few senior politicians — including the PM and president — flouted the strict guidelines by which the people were expected to abide, did not go down well.
