Police in Mississauga have charged a repeat offender with violent crimes after he allegedly bound a man inside his home and stole from him on two separate occasions. The suspect allegedly forced the victim to withdraw a large amount of money and returned to the residence weeks later armed with a handgun. Police seized a firearm, prohibited magazines, ammunition, and identification belonging to the victim during a search warrant.

Police charged a “violent” repeat offender after he allegedly bound a man inside of a home in Mississauga, and stole from him on two separate occasions.The suspect allegedly took various bank cards from the victim and later forced him to withdraw a large amount of money. Officers did not disclose how much money was stolen.Nearly a month later, in the early morning hours on Jan. 1, Peel police say the suspect went back to the victim’s home.

Darko Jugova, 35, who is currently on bail release, is facing numerous charges in connection with the incidents, including forcible confinement, robbery and extortion. Police add he was found with a gun on his person at the time of his arrest.“Repeat violent offenders endanger our community and threaten lives.
