The No. 42 overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft, Booth Jr. appeared destined to play a significant role in a secondary consisting of veterans and ascending talents. A season-ending kneeunfortunately cut his contributions short. He was ultimately limited to 105 defensive snaps and six regular-season appearances.
Booth Jr. took his typical bumps and bruises as a rookie defensive back that was thrown into the fire. Pro Football Focus credited him with allowing 13 receptions on 15 targets for a lackluster coverage grade of 41.7. The small sample size means Booth Jr. is an unknown commodity heading into 2023. Minnesota’s secondary struggled all throughout the season despite winning 13 games.
