More than 100 people attended a vigil to remember a Dauphin County boy who died suddenly just days before his 17th birthday. Justin Johnson died Friday due to complications from sickle cell disease, according to the coroner.Peter Santa, a friend who helped organize the memorial on Tuesday at Koons Park, said he wanted to bring people together to remember the person many have described as funny, kind, stylish, and athletic.
That's the best thing that everybody can do,' he said.The vigil included a picnic, balloon release, flowers and a space for people to mourn Johnson by sharing memories of him with fellow Central Dauphin High School classmates.'He would always smile. He was a smiling person. He was very caring. Every time you'd see Justin, you would never see him with a frown. He was always smiling, no matter the occasion,' sophomore Sabrina Pierre said.'He always had a smile on his face.
