A video of a body inside a glass case being paraded around a church has been shared alongside captions falsely claiming that it shows the undecomposed body of Pope John Paul II"exhumed 12 years after his death". Although the late-pontiff's coffin was exhumed in 2011, the video in fact shows a wax statue of him while it was on tour in Mexico that same year.
"Pope John Paul's body was yesterday exhumed, after 12 years. His body appears intact with no signs of decay," reads the post, sharedThe video has been viewed over 7,500 times and shows people carrying a glass coffin containing a body while a crowd chants prayers and takes pictures of the event.
