A woman is accused of punching a cop after a fight erupted between baseball fans during the Blue Jays home opener Friday night.

Toronto Police say officers responded to an assault call in the 500 level at the Rogers Centre around 10:20 p.m.

“A woman and man were involved in a physical altercation with several other patrons at a Toronto Blue Jays game,” Const. Edward Parks said in a statement released Saturday. “Officers attended, attempting to separate the groups and deescalate the situation,” he said. “The woman and man were advised to vacate the stadium due to disorderly behavior.”Video of the incident, posted on social media, shows police and security escorting the woman down the stairs in the stands when she suddenly spins around and throws a hard right hand at a female officer’s face.
